Overview

The Site Reliability Engineer (Systems Engineer) works In the Infrastructure Operations team and closely Interacts with development, cloud platform engineering and architecture teams to run and operate cloud-native, DevOps delivered, highly scalable and fault tolerant systems and services. The SRE Engineer ensures that internally and externally facing systems meet and exceed ambitious SLOs (Service Level Objectives) and are continuously improved. This includes deployments and monitoring of all systems through established tools. The incumbent is an intellectually curious passionate technologist up to date with technology trends in the industry, equally relishing challenges to optimize existing systems and services, and challenges to introduce modern technologies. They will execute, monitor, and assist in the continuous improvement of the operational running of our services. The incumbent will execute operations and engineering projects and provide support for and administration of all DevSecOps tools, cloud automation, critical business applications and platforms, and associated systems to build and run software in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance to engineering and operations teams on enabling and managing end to end availability and performance of mission critical services.
  • Executes established automation for
  • Participates in incident response, root cause/postmortem analysis, and drives production improvements for key issues that result in business opportunity for Arch.
  • Works on building configuration automation to eliminate waste and manual/repetitive tasks, prevent problem recurrence, and to respond to various service alerts and condition metrics.
  • Supports Kubernetes deployments in Azure, including cluster management, upgrades, security policies, application deployment with Argo CD using git and harness pipelines to deploy in collaboration with engineering and development teams.
  • Supports DevSecOps tools, pipeline, automation, and infrastructure-as-code scripts and continuously monitors the industry landscape to improve and expand to further speed to market and delivery team autonomy.

  • Implements, executes and manages Configuration as Code automation
  • Executes tasks aligned to projects in the operations space (upgrades, rollouts of technology, )
  • Promotes a continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration culture across
  • Builds and strengthens relationships and partnerships with corporate infrastructure leads and
  • Perform other operational duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with Cloud Services (Azure, AWS and Google Cloud) - must have
  • Windows and Linux Administration - must have
  • Experience with Automation and Configuration Tools (Git, Git Actions, Ansible or similar configuration management tool, Docker, CI/CD Management Tooling, APM Monitoring) - must have
  • Kubernetes Application Deployment or Administration - must have
  • Experience with DevOps Processes
  • Has Work Software Development Lifecycle.
  • ARGOCD Release Process
  • Understanding Microsoft AD Administration
  • Understanding DBA roles and responsibilities
  • Cloud Provider or Cloud Native Recognize

Required Skills/Experience

  • Working knowledge of technology solutions, including concepts, practices, and methods of infrastructure operations and engineering in Azure, and IT tools (Dyantrace monitoring and logging, Opsgenie alerting, Service Now, etc.).
  • Strategic problem solving, analytical and decision-making ability, with a sense of
  • Linux and/or Windows system administration experiences
  • Demonstrated experience in a production
  • Desire to measure and continuously improve in all areas with a metrics & reporting
  • Experience with cloud system fundamentals (Kubernetes, Containers, Virtualization, Automation) and observability techniques for these platforms.
  • Experience building, maintaining, monitoring, logging, and optimizing cloud-native business solutions.
  • Experience with relevant technologies including configuration tooling (Ansible), Kubernetes environments (AKS), GitHub Actions libraries, and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with Windows 2016, 2019 & 2022 Server, Office 365 and cloud solutions (Azure/AWS)
  • Experience with Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience building and maintaining docker containers through CI/CD pipelines (Harness)
  • Entry level experience with DevOps (CI/CT/CD) tools (GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Argo CD) and patterns; Data DevOps, DevSecOps (container scanning, CVE remediation, etc.).
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic, data-driven thinking combined with efficient implementation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills can communicate technical concepts to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Exceptional Customer and End User Experience focus
  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and build rapport to influence colleagues at all levels, uncover business issues, and identify needs.
  • Experience with continuous (blue/green) deployment and canary tests
  • Experience working in a hybrid on- and off-shore mode
  • Experience on working Observability Tools (ex.Dynatrace, Grafana,Solarwinds)
  • Instrument applications and infrastructure to provide comprehensive monitoring and alerting.
  • Has experience working on Audit Reports

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems,

or related field or equivalent additional work experience.

3 years equivalent work experience across infrastructure and software engineering roles.
